About
This practical, interactive course goes beyond introducing the principles of adult safeguarding by developing the knowledge, confidence and decision-making skills needed to respond effectively to safeguarding concerns. Grounded in the Care Act 2014 and current safeguarding best practice, the course explores how to recognise abuse and neglect, assess and respond to risk, apply person-centred and rights-based approaches and make defensible safeguarding decisions. Through realistic case studies, reflective exercises, and practical tools, learners will develop the professional judgement needed to identify concerns, balance autonomy with protection, and take appropriate action with confidence.
